lyrics

WEEKEND

Have you ever had that weekend.
You don't want it to end
Holding onto to the fibres
Trying hard not to snap it as it bends

The highs and the lows
The rise and the fall
The music makes your body dance
But your mind try to control it all

Her name was noël she had nowhere to go
So I put my arms around her and walked down the road
We laughed and we danced but then sunshine it rose
She disappeared out of my life and nobody seems to know where she may go

Chorus

Have you ever had that weekend.
You don't want it to end
Holding onto to the fibres
Trying hard not to snap it as it bends

The highs and the lows
The rise and the fall
The music makes your body dance
But your mind try to control it all

I went down to the same road where I met noël before
But she was nowhere to be seen as if she was never real at all
But I don't believe that, cos I've seen her and felt her warm breath on my neck
She wasn't just a dream and I'm not ready to forget

Chorus

Have you ever had that weekend.
You don't want it to end
Holding onto to the fibres
Trying hard not to snap it as it bends

The highs and the lows
The rise and the fall
The music makes your body dance
But your mind try to control it all
